Modern Garden Transformation

We were engaged to design a modern, terraced garden on a sloping site, creating a series of zoned outdoor entertainment areas with an outdoor kitchen.

An exciting project, on a sloping site, utilising retaining walls to create a series of garden rooms for cooking, dining, lounging and relaxing.

We installed a fabulous Grillo kitchen and bar area for entertaining friends and family as well as a stunning water blade feature.

During the episode Alan describes the garden: “This is more Balearics than Burnley. This is a garden which uses hard landscaping in different colours and different shapes which makes it much more interesting.

You can see how this area has been divided up with walls of different heights. It’s also been divided into three different sections, each of which has a different function.

Forget potting sheds or greenhouses. Here, it’s about daybeds for lounging. Sleek outdoor kitchens and private party spaces. And these cool clean lines are echoed in the architectural forms that surround them.

The designer here has deliberately kept the planting low maintenance, this is an area where the family wants to relax rather than keep on gardening.”
