Garden Transformation Overview
This garden transformation project by Creative Gardens & Driveways completely reinvented the outside space of this beautiful family home in Didsbury. To say the existing garden did not do the house justice is an understatement.
The client has an excellent eye for detail, and the interior of the property is finished to an exceptionally high standard, so the garden needed to reflect the same level of quality.
During the design process, detailed 3D visualisations were produced to show exactly how the finished garden would look. This allowed the client to fully understand the proposed layout, paving design and changes in levels before work began.
The design was then refined in collaboration with the client to ensure every detail met their exact requirements.
Stylish Outdoor Living Space With Patios & Pergolas
The new garden transformation features a large patio with flowing steps leading down to the lawn, creating a seamless connection between the house and the garden while providing generous space for relaxing and entertaining.
The paving is London Stone’s smooth sandstone in the Heath colour, complete with matching steps and copings. Its clean, contemporary finish perfectly complements the traditional red brick property, creating a timeless yet modern appearance. As with every project, the patio was pointed using a premium epoxy jointing compound to ensure long-lasting performance.
A bespoke pergola with cedar rafters provides welcome shade over the dining area, creating an inviting outdoor room that can be enjoyed throughout the warmer months.
Naturalistic Planting with Year-Round Interest
Our landscape gardeners combined young ornamental trees, clipped hedging, flowering perennials, ornamental grasses and carefully selected shrubs to create an informal, naturalistic planting scheme within this garden transformation.
Larger trees were incorporated to improve privacy and provide effective screening from neighbouring properties, while adding height and structure to the garden.
Stabilised Gravel Driveway
As part of the wider garden transformation, a new stabilised gravel driveway was installed to create an attractive, practical and durable surface that enhances the property’s kerb appeal while remaining easy to maintain.
Project Outcome
The completed garden design successfully blends traditional brickwork with contemporary paving, structured planting and bespoke timber features to create a sophisticated yet relaxed outdoor entertaining space.
