Garden Transformation Overview
This amazing transformation in Appleton near Warrington, Cheshire is our biggest project of 2025. This large garden was completely re-landscaped by the Creative Gardens & Driveways team to create an amazing place for entertaining, relaxing and general enjoyment.
This was a 20-week project for 5 members of our team. There was a significant degree of complexity to the project, with lots of levels which needed to be surveyed and designed very accurately to ensure an efficient execution of all installations.
This before photo shows one aspect of the garden that was overgrown and in need of excavation before works could begin.
Seating & Paving Installation
A large seating area was created using London Stone Heath Sawn Sandstone paving, which offers a luxurious look to the landscape. We used matching steps and coping units to provide enhanced visual appeal and to keep a cohesive design throughout.
Dutch clay paving was also laid in some areas to provide a contrasting landscape surface, which creates a stunning visual effect.
Traditional York stone paving was also used within this garden transformation, primarily in the garden courtyard. This unique blend of paving materials provides a sophisticated balance of traditional and contemporary elements, which complements the property perfectly.
Bespoke Pergola & Planting
We designed and constructed a bespoke oak pergola, which adds both height and structure to the garden. This will be enhanced once the wisteria grows over the structure, adding more shelter, shade and aesthetic appeal to the overall landscape.

This incredible garden design was a complex job for our team, covering multiple layers of the landscape. The complete garden transformation included:
- A large, flat, formal lawn
- A nature pond with fantastic mixed planting
- Outdoor lighting for functionality and ambience
- A stabilised gravel driveway provides flexible parking for many vehicles
