This project in Cheadle Hulme was a complete transformation for our clients. The existing landscape was old-fashioned, featuring wide hedges that encroached on the garden space and required a lot of maintenance. As well as these overbearing hedges, the garden also featured damaged decking that was falling apart.
Our clients had decided that they wanted a change, and Creative Gardens & Driveways was here to deliver a comprehensive solution.

The first step was for our design team to create a 3D garden design video to show our clients what their garden would look like ahead of time, ensuring their complete satisfaction throughout the project.
Our Garden Design Solution: Hardscaping Replacements
To create a new garden design that was more in line with our client’s lifestyle, we first proposed fencing to replace the hedges. Using high-quality Jacksons Fencing, we maintained the privacy within the garden, while also allowing more light into the space and reducing maintenance.
The same fencing was used to create stylish screens around the existing garden sheds, hiding them from view to ensure a cohesive flow of design throughout the landscape.
Continuing this low-maintenance appeal, our garden design included an Indian Sandstone patio, which would become the main seating and dining area of the garden. Sandstone offers a rustic, yet practical appearance to the garden and complements the surrounding landscape perfectly.
New Planting Schemes For Year-Round Interest
As well as hardscaping, our comprehensive garden design includes a new planting focus to give the garden year-round interest and soften the edges. Our planting scheme was designed to provide lasting visual appeal and incorporated some of the existing plants from the landscape, as requested by our client. By using a combination of plants, we successfully created a varied, textured display.
The primary focal point within the garden is a stylish new water feature, adding elegance and tranquillity to the space.
